without having to rebuild a new CIA on a Windows PC (still haven't found a Mac OS X tool for that) every time we want to use a new game?Īn NNID is an online account. What I got in mind regarding these questions is: would it be possible to have a single app container to act as emulator for all our Nes/GB/GBC(/GBA?) needs, and a second app to modify this app container natively from the 3DS, aka: modify the rom launched by the app container, change the configuration settings, the shaders. Since this one supports more functionalities than AGB_FIRM (notably, savestates), have there been tests to use it instead of AGB_FIRM, and apart from the "however the GBA emulation for this this is somewhat slow" note, are there any caveats? Or is AGB_FIRM triggered to launch automatically by the firmware instead of going through the Nes/GB/GBC VC?ģ) Since the community knows the RomFS format, why don't we have a 3DS app to do rom-to-CIA (or more accurately, rom-to-3DS-app) conversions? Has the community already looked into this shader format and (de-)compiled some?Ģ) According to the wiki, the base NES/GB/GBC VC supports GBA emulation too. I was reading the 3DBrew wiki article related to the 3DS Virtual Console and I got a few questions:ġ) It seems the VC supports shaders if they are put in the "rom:/shaders" folder.

Is there a Nintendo Wifi USB dongle I could buy or something to help with this problem? I remember Nintendo used to sell them back in the day for the original DS but would it work with the N2DS? Also just to clarify, the kit-kat software doesn't capture audio right? Would connecting this double-sided audio jack to the N2DS headphone socket and my desktop computers microphone socket fix that problem? I still live with my parents and my step-father doesn't want me to connect my computer in my room to my family's router through an 15ft+ ethernet cable so I'm stuck with wireless wifi for the moment. I'm probably doing something wrong on my end regarding the Connectify software but is there any other way that I can get my N2DS to work better with the kit-kat software. I heard that the Connectify software would help with the lag by turning your PC into a hotspot, but I can't seem to get my N2DS to discover the Connectify software. I was able to get the software to work once with some lag and framedrops but after a few minutes trying to place the footage in OBS Studio, the window crashed. I think what the problem is that my N2DS cannot connect to my family's router and then to my PC fast enough. However, when I get to the point where I try to connect my N2DS to the kit-kat software, I'm greeted with this error message:

I'm trying to figure out how to record and live-stream my N2DS gameplay footage, but I'm having some issues with the kit-kat-slim software.
